Dr. Johann Fernández Jiménez
Dr. Fernández is an ophthalmologist surgeon, corneal specialist, refractive surgery and specialist in external ocular diseases, who has studied in the University of Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Colombia and the USA. He is co-publisher of the book Prevention of Blindness in Latin America. In addition Dr Fernández has lectured and presented scientific papers on numerous occasions.

Dr. Carlos Cabezas Charpentier
Dr. Charpentier is an Vitreo-retinal Surgeon, an Opthalmologist specializing in retinal disorders, a graduate of the Independent University of Central America in the Dominican Republic and with studies in the University of Colorado. He has headed up numerous scientific studies and contributed to many conferences on the subject. Dr. Charpentier is also an active member of many Ophthalmological Societies in the USA.

Dr. Dario de Calice Lammens
Oculoplastic surgery is is a form of cosmetic surgery but related to reconstructive surgery of the eye. Dr. Dario specializes in this type of surgery, repairing problems primarily related to the tissues or structures surrounding the eye rather than the eye itself. These structures may include the eyelids tear ducts and the orbit (or bony socket surrounding the eye). To attain this level of expertise requires several years of additional training beyond becoming a certified ophthalmologist.
Dr. Dario has used his skills on many international missions working for NGO's in Africa, Central America and South America. He has also been a speaker at scientific conferences on numerous occasions. His education includes studies in in the United States, Costa Rica, Mexico and the Dominican Republic.

Our optometry department provides good quality eye examinations and a complete line of eye wear and contact lenses. Our trained staff will carefully measure and fit your prescription to ensure you are happy with the final result.
The optometrists help the patient with education of the primary care of the health of the eye and the visual system, including the refraction and the optics, discovery and diagnosis of eye diseases, and the rehabilitation of conditions of the visual system.
